I’m Not Anti-Social, I’m Religious

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Right now my husband and kids are at the neighbors house for a pre-Steeler party, and then to watch the game.

Me?  I’m here, on the laptop, in a semi-clean house.  I will be watching the game here, by myself.

Why?

I love watching Steeler games.  I mean, LOVE.  I can watch regular season games with other people (unless it’s a critical-win regular season game).  But playoff games?  Nope.  I can watch them with MY family, but that’s about it.  It’s almost like a religious experience.  You can pray with a bunch of people, but when you really need to concentrate, you just need to be alone.

Will my friends and neighbors think I’m anti-social?  Maybe.  I hope not…I explained the situation to my two close friends.  I just can’t deal with twenty children (two of them mine) running around and creating general chaos WHILE I’M TRYING TO WATCH THE GAME.  And there will be fathers there, but who do the kids go to?  The moms.

So, excuse me while I completely immerse myself in the game…and nothing else.  Except during commercial breaks…I may get up to pee.

GO STEELERS!!!!!!

Wow, an Entire Week!

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Really? Has it been an entire week since I posted? Amazing. Time flies when this is the true math equation in your life:

time it takes to do stuff is less than or equal to the time you have

Anyway, we had a great time before the Super Bowl. The kids went sled riding at our neighbor’s house. I ate entirely too much, and even had an adult beverage. The game itself was difficult to watch at times. The kids actually fell asleep sometime during the second half, even though Tony was yelling obscenities at the tv. Oh well, the outcome was good, and that made me happy. Here are some pics from that day:

Quickie post for now, but I have more to come. Maybe even today!!!

Myron, you were the spirit of Pittsburgh. I know you will keep the other side entertained. You will be missed.

OK, New Christmas/Pittsburgh design

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Hey, here’s the latest. And just in time for Christmas. I think that the design looks great on a greeting card or ornament (I’ve included both pics), but it’s also available on shirts, mugs and the like. This idea has been brewing around in my head for a while, but I couldn’t exactly decide what I wanted it to look like. I’m pretty happy with it…and proud of my lights on the tree. Well, without any further babbling, here it is:
