Patiently Waiting for Baby Announcement TimeBy
I’m so glad I don’t have to go through pregnancy anymore. Really. I’m not the kind of woman who looks back and thinks “Wow, I miss being pregnant.” I know two women who are nearing the end of their pregnancies. One, Chloe’s preschool teacher, is due today. I saw her on Sunday, and she was about done. She’s the sweetest girl woman. She’s an awesome teacher, too. The other is one of our servers. She’s working right up to the very end. Kudos to her for hangin’ in there. She’s due in a couple of weeks, and she’s been a trooper.
Still, so glad it’s not me. They’re both really ready to be done. I didn’t even make it to my due date with EITHER of my kids, and I was ready to be done. I usually buy a little outfit once the baby is born, but (If I can get some good pictures from somebody), I think I’m going to get them some baby announcements. I don’t think I sent baby announcements for either of my kids. Becca came so early, I was just a big stress ball for a while. And once Chloe came, I was dealing with TWO kids in diapers…announcements weren’t at the top of my list.
A few months ago I got a baby announcement from my cousin. It was adorable! She did one big close up of her son’s face in the middle of a postcard, surrounded by four smaller very animated closeups. Very cute. Check out some of the options for just placing a picture in the announcement:
So, I’m gonna put on my creative hat and try to get some baby announcements for my new-mom friends. If they’re anything like me, getting announcements together will be far down on their list.
